Jordan Kyrou and Mackenzie MacEachern are back where they were expected to be when the season begins tonight — on the St. Louis Blues’ 23-man active roster.

When the team’s roster was revealed Tuesday, Vladimir Tarasenko was on it and Kyrou and MacEachern were on the taxi squad. But that was temporary. On Wednesday, Tarasenko, who is recovering from shoulder surgery, was placed on long-term injured reserve and Kyrou and MacEachern were recalled from the taxi squad. Both will be available to play Wednesday night in the Blues’ season opener at Colorado.

The move Tuesday was procedural, allowing the Blues to get their roster under the league’s salary cap. With Tarasenko now on LTIR, the season-opening r0ster is set.
