Justin Foscue - Trying to increase versatility
Rangers manager Skip Schumaker said Thursday that Foscue will be given some reps in the outfield during spring training, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact
Foscue has played only in the infield both in college at Mississippi State and since entering pro ball, but increasing his versatility gives him a better chance to make the team in a reserve role. The 26-year-old has struggled mightily during his brief time in the majors, going 3-for-51 with a 2:21 BB:K.

Marc Church - Tosses side session
Church (lat) completed a bullpen session Tuesday, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.
Impact
Church apparently responded well to the side session and is close to facing hitters in live batting practice, something that could happen within the next few days. The 24-year-old is working his way back from a right lat strain, but barring any setbacks in his throwing program, he could be ready to make his Cactus League debut at some point within the next couple of weeks. Though he lacks much big-league experience with just six appearances to his name, Church possesses some of the best stuff of any of the Rangers' relief arms and could enter the high-leverage mix at some point in 2026.

Emiliano Teodo - Completes first side session
Teodo (back) threw a bullpen session Tuesday, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.
Impact
Tuesday marked the first time that Teodo had thrown off a mound all spring, as the Rangers have taken a deliberate approach with the 25-year-old righty while he works his way back from a back issue that kept him out for more than two months last season. Teodo is entering his second season as a member of the Rangers' 40-man roster but has yet to make his MLB debut. He posted a 9.00 ERA, 2.00 WHIP and 23:17 K:BB in 18 innings with Triple-A Round Rock in 2025 and will likely be headed back to the affiliate to begin the 2026 campaign.

Cole Winn - Seemingly healthy for spring
Winn (shoulder) threw a live batting practice session during Monday's full-squad workout, Matthew Postins of SI.com reports.
Impact
Winn closed the past season on the injured list after sustaining a right rotator cuff strain, but he seems to have made a full recovery from the issue during the offseason and doesn't look to be under any restrictions in camp. The right-hander is coming off a strong 2025 campaign in which he posted a 1.51 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in 41.2 innings out of the bullpen, but a lack of overpowering stuff (10 SwSt%, 21.6 K%) may prevent him from garnering serious consideration for the Rangers' unsettled closer role.

Corey Seager - Takes BP on Monday
Seager (appendix) took live batting practice Monday and appears to be 100 percent healthy for the start of spring training, Matthew Postins of SI.com reports.
Impact
Seager closed this past season on the injured list after requiring an appendectomy in late August, but he was cleared to resume baseball activities a little under three weeks after the procedure and appears to have had a normal offseason. While good health has often been elusive for Seager since he played 151 games in his first campaign with Texas in 2022, he's remained excellent when available over the subsequent three seasons, producing a collective 152 wRC+ during that stretch. First-year manager Skip Schumaker has yet to make any firm decisions on the makeup of the Rangers lineup for 2026 beyond noting that Brandon Nimmo will likely bat leadoff, but Seager seems like a good bet to slot second or third in the batting order more often than not.

Sam Haggerty - Entering spring healthy
Haggerty (ankle) took live batting practice against teammate Nathan Eovaldi on Sunday, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.
Impact
Haggerty didn't see action for the Rangers after mid-August of last season after he experienced a setback in his recovery from left ankle inflammation during his minor-league rehab assignment in September. However, the injury didn't deter the Rangers from tendering him a contract this offseason, and now that he appears to be healthy once again, Haggerty should be in good shape to win a utility job on the Texas' Opening Day roster. In addition to being able to play all three outfield spots as well as second base, third base and shortstop, the switch-hitting Haggerty will give Texas a weapon against left-handed pitching. Haggerty slashed .318/.376/.435 across 94 plate appearances versus southpaws in 2025.

Wyatt Langford - Overcomes oblique injury
Langford (oblique) took his first live batting practice session of spring training Sunday, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.
Impact
Langford was shut down for the final five games of the 2025 season due to a left oblique strain, but he's believed to have had something close to a normal offseason and appears to be back to full health for spring training. The 24-year-old is likely to open the upcoming season as the Rangers' everyday left fielder, though he could occasionally slide over to center in place of the left-handed-hitting Evan Carter when Texas faces left-handed starters.

Brandon Nimmo - Pegged for leadoff duties
Manager Skip Schumaker said Sunday that he expects Nimmo to open the season as the Rangers' everyday right fielder and leadoff hitter, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Josh Smith served as Texas' primary leadoff man in 2025, but Nimmo -- who owns a career .350 on-base percentage and has less extreme splits -- makes for a more logical choice to serve as the Rangers' table setter during the upcoming season. After batting out of the heart of the order for much of last season with the Mets, Nimmo will likely lose out on some RBI opportunities with the move atop the lineup in Texas, but he could make a push for his first 100-run campaign since 2022 if he can maintain health while hitting in front of Corey Seager and Wyatt Langford. Rather than transitioning back to the leadoff spot, the move to right field could prove to be more challenging adjustment for Nimmo; he played exclusively in left field and center field during his final five seasons with the Mets.

Josh Sborz - Completes side session
Sborz (shoulder) tossed a bullpen session Saturday, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.
Impact
The 32-year-old righty looks to be healthy for the start of spring training after he was limited to just a handful of minor-league rehab appearances during the 2025 season after undergoing surgery on his throwing shoulder in November 2024. After the Rangers non-tendered him in November, Sborz re-signed with the organization on a minor-league deal in January and will need to show during Cactus League play that he's regained his pre-surgery velocity and command in order to make a serious run at a spot in Texas' Opening Day bullpen.
