Ezequiel Duran - Helps snap losing streak Duran went 3-for-5 with two doubles, four RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 5-4 win over the Giants.

Impact Duran walked off the Giants, who had tied the game in the top of the ninth inning. The win halted the Rangers' six-game losing streak. Duran is getting regular at-bats at third base since Josh Jung (calf) landed on the injured list, but the Rangers would find a spot for the versatile Duran even if Jung were healthy. In 18 contests since the All-Star break, Duran's posted a .313/.351/.582 slash line with seven doubles, one triple, three home runs and 13 RBI.

MacKenzie Gore - Tosses six scoreless frames Gore didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Giants. He tossed six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and three walks while striking out four.

Impact Gore was going through a rough patch before this outing, allowing at least three earned runs in three consecutive starts and in six of his last seven, but he bounced back admirably in this one, at least in terms of run prevention. Gore owns a 4.18 ERA in four starts since the All-Star break, but that figure is lower than his season-long 4.55 ERA, which is also a career-worst mark for the five-year veteran. Gore will look to build off this start when he takes the mound next week on the road against the Angels, one of the weakest lineups in the American League.

Now, after giving up just one run in 10 innings across four rehab starts, the 28-year-old southpaw is finally ready to rejoin the Rangers' rotation. Bradford built up to 56 pitches during his latest outing at Triple-A Round Rock, so the Rangers will likely limit his workload in what will be his first MLB appearance in nearly two years.

Ezequiel Duran - Perfect at plate Monday Duran went 4-for-4 with a solo home run and a double Monday in a loss to the Giants.

Impact Duran was by far the most productive offensive player for Texas, logging four of the team's seven hits and accounting for the Rangers' only run with a solo blast to left field in the ninth inning. The utility man posted his second four-hit performance of the season and snapped a 2-for-19 cold spell at the plate. Duran continues to provide immense value both with his bat and with his defensive versatility -- he's slashing .274/.326/.455 with 13 homers, 51 runs, 59 RBI and nine stolen bases through 394 plate appearances this season while making double-digit appearances at three different positions in the infield (shortstop, third base and second base) as well as at two different positions in the outfield (left field and right field).

Cal Quantrill - Pitches well despite loss Quantrill (4-4) allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk while striking out four batters over six innings in a loss to San Francisco on Monday.

Impact Quantrill was hurt by two errors behind him in the second inning, allowing the Giants to scored a pair of unearned runs. The only other time San Francisco scored against him was when Jung Hoo Lee swatted a solo homer in the third. Quantrill retired 11 of the 13 batters he faced following that homer, but Texas' offense couldn't provide enough runs to take the righty off the hook. Despite the loss, Quantrill recorded his second quality start of the campaign (though it's worth nothing that he didn't move into the rotation until late June). He's produced a respectable 3.31 ERA over 35.1 frames since then, with all but one of his eight appearances coming as a starter. It remains to be seen, though, if Quantrill will remain in the rotation when Jordan Montgomery (elbow), Cody Bradford (elbow) and/or Jack Leiter (ankle) return from the injured list.
