Jake O'Brien - Shifts to IR Sunday O'Brien (lower body) was placed on injured reserve on Sunday.

Impact O'Brien was held out of Seattle's lineup for their preseason contest Thursday. The 19-year-old center was exceptional with OHL Brantford in 2025-26, where he compiled 28 goals and 93 points across 53 regular-season games. Once O'Brien is ready to go, the Kraken will have to decide whether they want to try him out with their current roster, or push off his NHL debut by potentially optioning him to AHL Coachella Valley.

Victor Ostman - Lands on waivers Ostman was put on waivers Monday for the purpose of being sent to AHL Coachella Valley.

Impact Ostman made one NHL appearance with Seattle in the 2025-26 campaign, stopping 33 of 35 shots in a 2-0 loss to Colorado on April 16. He spent most of the 2025-26 regular season in the minors, posting a 17-15-3 record with a 2.81 GAA and a .906 save percentage in 36 outings for the Firebirds.

If he does play in any NHL games this year, it will likely be due to injury.
