Last Night in Baseball: Braves Roar Back and a Barry Bonds Record

Nick Yorke - Sent back to Triple-A The Pirates optioned Yorke to Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday.

Impact The 24-year-old will be pushed off the active roster as a result of Jared Triolo's (knee) return from the injured list. Yorke has slashed .221/.308/.309 in the majors this season while adding a home run, six RBI and six runs scored through 78 plate appearances. His defensive versatility will make it easier for him to return to the majors later this year if Pittsburgh's depth is tested.

Jared Triolo - Activated from IL The Pirates reinstated Triolo (knee) from the injured list Saturday.

Impact Triolo has been sidelined by a right patellar tendon injury since April 5. He's spent the past week in the minors on a rehab assignment, during which he went 5-for-18 with a homer, three RBI, four runs scored and a steal. Now fully healthy, the 28-year-old will likely compete for playing time at the hot corner with Nick Gonzales, who is batting .457 (21-for-46) over his last 12 games. Nick Yorke was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Nick Gonzales - Reaching base frequently Gonzales went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a walk Friday against the Reds.

Impact Gonzales was on base four times, marking the eighth time in his last 12 games that he's reached base multiple times. He also has multiple hits seven times in that span, good enough to maintain a .457 average with five RBI and seven runs scored. Gonzales has provided very little power -- he has a .047 ISO across 117 plate appearances, but he's been a decent source of counting stats while providing a very strong batting average. After beginning the season in a part-time role, he has also started 12 straight games.

Marcell Ozuna - Blasts third homer Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk Friday against the Reds.

Impact Ozuna went yard in the fifth inning to record his third home run of the season and first since April 18 -- a span of 10 games and eight starts. He continues to hit poorly to begin the year, as he's hit just .118 with a 32.4 percent strikeout rate in his last 10 contests. Ozuna remains Pittsburgh's primary designated hitter, but he has been out of the lineup for three of the team's last seven games and could continue to see his playing time slip.

Bryan Reynolds - Swats fourth homer Reynolds went 2-for-4 with a walk, a triple, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Friday's 9-1 rout over the Reds.

Impact Both extra-base hits came off Brady Singer, including a solo shot in the first inning that got the Pirates' offense rolling and gave Reynolds his fourth long ball of the season. The veteran outfielder has three multi-hit performances in the last four games, and he's drawn a free pass in seven of the last eight contests -- a stretch in which he's slashing .259/.459/.519 with five RBI and seven runs.

Henry Davis - Goes yard twice in rout Davis went 2-for-3 with a walk, two home runs, three runs and three RBI in Friday's 9-1 win over the Reds.

Impact The 26-year-old backstop launched a solo homer off Brady Singer in the fourth inning before belting a two-run shot off Zach Maxwell in the fifth. The long balls were the first of the season for Davis, and his first extra-base hits of any kind since April 7. On the season, he's slashing a meager .176/.273/.309 with one steal, six RBI and 10 runs in 26 games, and Davis will need more than one big performance to get on the fantasy radar in most formats.

Mitch Keller - Sharp in third win Keller (3-1) picked up the win Friday, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over seven innings in a 9-1 victory over the Reds. He struck out six.

Impact The veteran righty continues to roll, delivering his fifth quality start of the season on 104 pitches (71 strikes) and tying his season high in strikeouts. Keller has given up more than three runs in a start only once so far in 2026, and he'll take a 2.85 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 31:12 K:BB through 41 innings into his next outing, which is set to come next week on the road in Arizona.
