Tatsuya Imai - Having right arm examined Imai travelled to Houston on Saturday and will be examined by team physicians for his "tired arm," Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
Impact Imai is the third Astros pitcher to fly back to Houston during the team's road trip, with Hunter Brown (shoulder) and Cristian Javier (shoulder) both landing on the 15-day injured list in the past week. The Astros' rotation is beginning to look thin, with Mike Burrows and Lance McCullers currently the only starters without an injury designation. Imai has a 7.27 ERA through 8.2 innings this season, and the Astros should provide a medical update on the 27-year-old once he undergoes more tests.

Yordan Alvarez - Goes yard in loss Alvarez went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Friday's 9-6 loss to the Mariners.
Impact Alvarez went deep in the eighth inning to cut the deficit to three runs. The slugger is in midseason form already with five homers over 14 contests. He's batting .341 with a 1.266 OPS, 13 RBI, 11 runs scored, three doubles and a stolen base through 62 plate appearances. Alvarez has often displayed excellent plate discipline, but he's been better than usual in that area so far with a 14:7 BB:K as well. Last year was a lost season due to injuries, but Alvarez has 30-homer and 100-RBI potential if he can stay relatively healthy.

Tatsuya Imai - Chased in first inning Imai allowed three runs on one hit, four walks and a hit batsman over one-third of an inning in a no-decision Friday versus the Mariners. He didn't record a strikeout.
Impact Imai's control was absent Friday, as he threw just 17 of 37 pitches for strikes. The first run he allowed came on a wild pitch, and he hit Randy Arozarena with the bases loaded to force in the second run. Imai has had mixed results in his first taste of major-league action so far, pitching to a 7.27 ERA over 8.2 innings while adding a 13:11 K:BB. He's walked at least three batters in all three of his starts. Imai is tentatively lined up to make his next start at home versus the Rockies, as the Astros' injury-riddled rotation likely doesn't have the manpower to shelter him.

Impact Meyers was pulled from Wednesday's contest with lower-back tightness, and imaging later revealed the outfielder had suffered a significant strain. The Astros haven't yet provided a timeline for his return, but he will almost certainly miss more than the 10-day minimum.
