Matt Coronato - Fills empty cage Coronato scored an empty-net goal on four shots in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Impact Coronato's tally gave the Flames a little breathing room in the third period after they held a 2-1 lead for the vast majority of the contest. The 23-year-old has scored twice over the last three games. The winger is up to 13 goals, 26 points, 111 shots on net, 16 PIM and a minus-19 rating over 46 appearances. He's on pace for similar results as 2024-25, when he had 24 goals and 23 assists in 77 contests.

Yegor Sharangovich - Collects two more points Sharangovich scored a power-play goal on two shots, added an assist and logged two PIM in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Impact Sharangovich made sure the Blackhawks' 1-0 lead didn't last long, answering Nick Foligno's goal just 36 seconds later. This ended a six-game goal drought for Sharangovich. The 27-year-old has seven points over his last 10 outings, and he's up to nine goals, 18 points, 78 shots on net and a minus-12 rating over 43 appearances.

Mikael Backlund - Shines on special teams Backlund scored a shorthanded goal on three shots, added a power-play assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Impact Backlund earned his second multi-point effort in a row. All three of his power-play points this season have come over the last two games, and he's also up to three shorthanded points with his goal, which was the game-winner. The 36-year-old center has racked up 12 goals, 31 points, 116 shots on net and a plus-15 rating through 47 appearances, including 15 points over his last 13 outings. He needs one more point to match his 76-game total from 2024-25.

Devin Cooley - Earns win Thursday Cooley stopped 22 of 23 shots in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Impact Cooley was steady aside from giving up a goal to Nick Foligno at 2:38 of the first period. The 28-year-old Cooley has started two of the last three games, winning both of those outings while allowing just two goals on 51 shots. For the season, he's at a 6-4-2 record with a 2.20 GAA and a .921 save percentage. Dustin Wolf will still get most of the starts, but Cooley has been excellent in the backup role when he gets the nod.
