Tommy Edman - Could return Tuesday Manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Edman (ankle) could return from the injured list Tuesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Impact Edman has been on the shelf all season after undergoing surgery on his right ankle in November, though he was cleared to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Oklahoma City on May 26. Since then, the 31-year-old has slashed .225/.295/.375 with a homer, three RBI and six runs across 44 plate appearances. Once activated, he will presumably take over for Alex Freeland as the Dodgers' primary second baseman.

Shohei Ohtani - Imaging comes back clean Imaging on Ohtani's left knee revealed Friday that he isn't dealing with any structural damage, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Impact Ohtani will be held out of Friday's contest against the White Sox, but manager Dave Roberts said before the game that the two-way star isn't dealing with anything more than inflammation in his left knee. He's expected to resume duties as the Dodgers' designated hitter sometime this weekend and remains on track to make his next start on the mound Wednesday.
