Ebuka Okorie - Not part of rotation Okorie (coach's decision) didn't play during Tuesday's 121-113 win over the Celtics.
Impact While the Pistons did trade up in the draft to acquire Okorie's services earlier this year, the team doesn't look to be ready to throw the rookie first-rounder into the fire. Ebuka appears to have more fantasy value in dynasty leagues.

Daniss Jenkins - Sees 15 minutes Jenkins posted three points (1-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt), two rebounds and three assists in 15 minutes during Tuesday's 121-113 win over the Celtics.
Impact Jenkins knocked down his lone three-point attempt in the second quarter but played a relatively minor role in Detroit's comeback from a 22-point deficit. The reserve guard committed one turnover and four fouls while receiving limited offensive opportunities. After averaging 9.3 points and 3.9 assists last season, Jenkins will need a larger workload to replicate that production consistently.

Kevin Huerter - Quiet outing off bench Huerter closed with three points (1-4 FG, 1-4 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists over 18 minutes during Tuesday's 121-113 victory over the Celtics.
Impact Huerter struggled to find his shooting touch in his Pistons regular-season debut, connecting on just one of four attempts from beyond the arc. He played fewer minutes than fellow perimeter reserves Isaiah Joe and Javonte Green, the latter of whom erupted for 19 points. With Duncan Robinson also starting and hitting five triples, Huerter faces considerable competition for minutes and perimeter opportunities in Detroit's rotation.

Jalen Duren - Nearly double-doubles in win Duren provided 22 points (8-13 FG, 6-7 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 28 minutes during Tuesday's 121-113 victory over the Celtics.
Impact Duren narrowly missed a double-double while matching Cade Cunningham for Detroit's scoring lead. The center also converted a pivotal three-point play during the Pistons' fourth-quarter comeback and committed just one turnover. His efficient finishing and strong free-throw shooting were notable, particularly after he connected on six of seven attempts from the charity stripe. Duren remains a reliable source of points, rebounds and field-goal percentage in fantasy formats.

Duncan Robinson - Shines in opener Robinson accumulated 21 points (5-10 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 6-8 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 121-113 victory over Boston.
Impact Robinson started at shooting guard and helped power Detroit's comeback from a 22-point deficit, connecting on a crucial fourth-quarter three-pointer during the Pistons' decisive run. His five triples were tied for the team lead, and his 21 points ranked third behind Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren. Robinson's starting role and high-volume perimeter shooting give him a clear path to fantasy value in three-pointers.

Opening night in the NBA provided some hints of what may be to come this season

Opening night in the NBA provided some hints

John Collins - Quiet in Pistons debut Collins closed Tuesday's 121-113 victory over the Celtics with six points (3-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 25 minutes.
Impact Collins started for his new team, as expected, but certainly fell short of the mark when it comes to having a sizeable impact. The two combined steals and blocks were nice, but more is going to be expected from him, particularly on the offensive end. Despite the struggles, he remains a clear hold in all formats.
20 HOURS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Paul Reed - Modest effort off bench Reed accumulated six points (2-3 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal over 17 minutes during Tuesday's 121-113 victory over the Celtics.
Impact Reed turned in a serviceable performance, doing just enough to keep him in the discussion for standard fantasy leagues. Assuming he can play at least 17 minutes per game, he should be able to do just enough to hold value, particularly in big-friendly builds. Given that Javonte Green was shooting the lights out in this one, there is also a chance that Reed could see a little more court time on most nights, a fact that shouldn't be lost on fantasy managers.
20 HOURS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Ausar Thompson - Team-high 11 rebounds in win Thompson ended Tuesday's 121-113 victory over the Celtics with 11 points (4-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists and one steal in 33 minutes.
Impact Thompson recorded a double-double, turning in a solid first-up performance. After signing a new deal during the offseason, the hope was that his role would elevate this season. If Tuesday's effort is anything to go by, that could certainly be the case. He was one of only two Pistons players to log at least 30 minutes, a fantastic sign for anyone who took a chance on him in drafts.

Javonte Green - Erupts for 19 points in victory Green dropped 19 points (5-10 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and four rebounds across 18 minutes in Detroit's season-opening 121-113 comeback victory over the Celtics on Tuesday.
Impact The veteran forward scored all of his points in the second half to help the Pistons erase a 22-point deficit. Green fueled an 18-0 run and finished with a game-best plus-21 in his 18 minutes off the bench. He wasn't expected to be a major part of the rotation, but he's likely earned himself more opportunities moving forward.

Impact The turnovers and three-point shooting weren't great, but Cunningham delivered everywhere else as he guided Detroit to an opening-night win on its home floor. The 25-year-old star point guard should again be a reliable source of points, dimes and defensive stats this season.
