Riley Sheahan - Back in Buffalo Sheahan signed a one-year, $950,000 contract with the Sabres on Wednesday.
Impact Sheahan spent last season with the Kraken, posting 17 points in 69 contests in a bottom-six role. The 30-year-old previously played with the Sabres in 2020-21, logging 13 points in 53 contests. His deal is two-way, so while he'll get a $100,000 raise at the NHL level, it doesn't come with any additional job security.

Olivier Nadeau - Undergoes shoulder surgery Nadeau is expected to be sidelined for 4-6 months after undergoing shoulder surgery, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
Impact The Sabres selected Nadeau in the fourth round of last year's Entry Draft. The 19-year-old winger spent the 2021-22 campaign with the QMJHL's Shawinigan Cataractes, racking up 35 goals and 78 points through 65 contests. He's expected to join the QMJHL's Gatineau Olympiques once he's fully recovered from his surgery.

Brett Murray - Lands two-way deal Murray signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Sabres on Monday, per CapFriendly.
Impact Murray split last season between the NHL and AHL levels. He scored six points in 19 games with Buffalo and tacked on another 32 points in 52 appearances with AHL Rochester. The 23-year-old winger should fill a similar role for the 2022-23 campaign.

Jiri Kulich - Inks entry-level deal Kulich signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Sabres on Friday.
Impact Buffalo selected Kulich 28th overall in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. He scored nine goals and 14 points in the Czech Extraliga during the 2021-22 campaign. The 18-year-old forward is likely a couple of years away from making an NHL impact but he could join AHL Rochester as soon as next season, but he may continue his development in the Czech Republic.
JULY 15 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Matthew Savoie - Signs entry-level deal Savoie signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Sabres on Friday.
Impact Buffalo selected Savoie with the ninth overall pick in this year's Entry Draft. The 18-year-old drew into 65 games with the WHL's Winnipeg Ice last season, racking up 35 goals and 90 points over that span. Savoie will likely remain with the Ice for the 2022-23 campaign.
JULY 15 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Noah Ostlund - Pens entry-level contract Ostlund signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Buffalo on Friday.
Impact The Sabres selected Ostlund with the 16th overall pick in this year's Entry Draft. The 18-year-old forward spent most of the 2021-22 season with Djurgardens IF of Sweden's J20 Nationell league, racking up nine goals and 42 points through 32 contests. Ostlund is expected to play for Djurgardens IF in Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan league in 2022-23.
JULY 15 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Lawrence Pilut - Signs one-year deal Pilut signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Sabres on Friday.
Impact Pilut spent the entirety of the 2021-22 campaign with the KHL's Traktor Chelyabinsk, picking up 11 assists through 40 contests. Pilut is expected to remain in Russia for the 2022-23 season, so Buffalo presumably signed him to this one-year deal just to retain his NHL rights.

Ilya Lyubushkin - Signs two-year contract Lyubushkin inked a two-year, $5.5 million deal with the Sabres on Wednesday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
Impact Lyubushkin split time between the Coyotes and Maple Leafs last year, logging a combined 77 games in which he tallied two goals, 13 assists, 187 hits while averaging 17:27 of ice time. With Buffalo, the blueliner could see increased minutes but is unlikely to suddenly develop an offensive game. As such, Lyubushkin figures to remain a low-end fantasy option, though he is capable of racking up hits and blocks.
JULY 13 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Eric Comrie - Grabs two-year deal Comrie inked a two-year, $3.6 million contract with Buffalo on Wednesday.
Impact Comrie logged just 19 games for the Jets last season while stuck behind workhorse Connor Hellebuyck. In those outings, the 27-year-old Comrie went 10-5-1 with a 2.58 GAA and one shutout. Playing alongside Craig Anderson, Comrie should get significantly more opportunities to start but should be considered the No. 2 option heading into the 2022-23 campaign.
JULY 13 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Victor Olofsson - Signs two-year extension Olofsson signed a two-year, $9.5 million contract extension with the Sabres on Wednesday.
Impact Olofsson remained a solid top-six contributor for Buffalo in 2021-22, racking up 20 goals and 49 points, 12 of which came with the man advantage, while averaging 15:20 of ice time through 72 contests. If he's able to play a full 82-game slate, Olofsson should produce 20-plus goals and could crack the 50-point mark for the first time in his career in 2022-23.
JULY 13 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Jeremy Davies - Links up with Sabres Davies signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Sabres on Wednesday.
Impact Davies had two assists in six games with the Predators last season. He added 31 points in 54 contests with AHL Milwaukee, showing a little scoring upside in the minors. The defenseman is likely to begin the campaign with AHL Rochester, though he could win a spot on the Opening Night roster in training camp.
JULY 13 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Chase Priskie - Joins Buffalo Priskie signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Sabres on Wednesday.
Impact Priskie made his first four NHL appearances with the Panthers last season. He also posted 31 points in 54 contests with AHL Charlotte. The 26-year-old defenseman has aged out of prospect status, but he'll provide the Sabres with organizational depth on defense.
JULY 13 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Kale Clague - Inks deal with Buffalo Clague signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Sabres on Wednesday.
Impact Clague was not qualified by the Canadiens, and it didn't take him long to find a new home in the Atlantic Division. He had 10 points in 36 contests between the Kings and the Canadiens last year, and he could contend for a roster spot with the Sabres in training camp.
JULY 13 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Vinnie Hinostroza - Re-signs with Buffalo Hinostroza signed a one-year, $1.7 million contract extension with the Sabres on Tuesday.
Impact Hinostroza drew into 62 games with Buffalo in 2021-22, picking up 13 goals and 25 points while averaging 13:54 of ice time over that span. He'll likely put up similar numbers while skating in a bottom-six role in 2022-23.
JULY 12 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Malcolm Subban - Inks new deal Subban (upper body) signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $850,000 with the Sabres on Tuesday.
Impact Subban will likely have a chance to compete for the backup job behind Craig Anderson in 2022-23. Subban made only four appearances with the Sabres in 2021-22, giving up 17 goals on 132 shots. He had surgery in January, so it's unclear if the 28-year-old will be fully healthy at the start of training camp.
JULY 12 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Jacob Bryson - Inks two-year deal Bryson signed a two-year, $1.85 million AAV extension with Buffalo on Sunday.
Impact Bryson averaged 18:21 of ice time with 10 points in 73 games last season. The 24-year-old will likely skate in a bottom-four role with Buffalo again next season. He's tallied 19 points in 111 career NHL games after he was selected in the fourth round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
