Impact Ellis will get the second half of Buffalo's back-to-back after Alex Lyon played in Monday's 5-3 win over Florida. The 25-year-old Ellis has a 7-4-0 record with a 3.05 GAA and an .898 save percentage through 12 appearances this campaign. Tampa Bay ranks second in the league during the 2025-26 season with 3.49 goals per game.

Zach Benson - Will miss Tuesday's outing Benson (upper-body) was ruled out ahead of Tuesday's road matchup against the Lightning, per Rachel Lenzi.
Impact After sustaining the upper-body injury in Monday's 5-3 win over Florida, Benson will require further evaluation before returning to Buffalo's lineup, according to head coach Lindy Ruff. It's a tough break for the red-hot Sabres, who will be without Benson for Tuesday's clash against the Atlantic Division-leading Lightning. The 20-year-old forward will have one more chance to return to the Sabres' lineup prior to the Olympic break in Buffalo's game set for Thursday against the Penguins.

Impact Zucker's goal at 5:31 of the third period stood as the game-winner. The 34-year-old winger had gone three games without a point, but he has four tallies over his last six contests. This was his first power-play contribution since Jan. 15 versus the Canadiens.
