Jacob Waguespack - Back with Milwaukee
Waguespack and the Brewers agreed on a minor-league contract Sunday.
Impact
Waguespack was briefly a free agent after being released by the Brewers on May 5, but he quickly returned to the organization. The 32-year-old will likely return to Triple-A Nashville after a stop with the team's Arizona Complex League squad. Waguespack has produced a 2.40 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with 22 strikeouts over 15 innings in 10 appearances with Nashville this season.

Brice Turang - Strong campaign continues
Turang went 1-for-2 with a double, one RBI, two runs scored and two walks in Thursday's 7-1 win over San Diego.
Impact
Turang has now hit safely in 11 of his last 13 outings, also riding a four-game RBI streak. The second baseman has been a five-category fantasy producer thus far, slashing .298/.422/.511 with six home runs, 27 RBI, 33 runs scored and eight stolen bases across 175 plate appearances. Turang's .933 OPS is well on pace to be a career high, having never finished above .800 in this area.

Christian Yelich - Decision on IL could come Friday
Brewers manager Pat Murphy indicated Thursday that a decision on whether to put Yelich (back) on the 10-day injured list will likely be made Friday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Jo...
Impact
Yelich missed a second straight start Thursday against the Padres due to a back injury. He's got a long history of back problems, and the Brewers will see how he feels when he gets to the ballpark Friday before they make a decision on Yelich's status. If Yelich needs another IL stint -- he just returned from a groin injury Tuesday -- Andrew Vaughn would receive an uptick in playing time.

Kyle Harrison - Cruises to fourth win
Harrison (4-1) earned the win Thursday against the Padres, allowing no runs on five hits and no walks in five innings. He struck out seven.
Impact
Staked to an early 6-0 lead, Harrison breezed through the San Diego bats Thursday. The 24-year-old southpaw generated 17 whiffs on the afternoon, and he's now given up two runs or fewer in all eight of his starts this year. Harrison boasts a 2.09 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 48:13 K:BB over 38.2 innings for the year, but he's worked into the sixth frame just three times so far. He next lines up for a difficult assignment against the division-rival Cubs.

Bauers is on the bench for Thursday's matinee against the Padres.
Impact
Bauers went 1-for-4 with a double and two strikeouts in his start Wednesday against San Diego. The 30-year-old will come off the bench against the Padres despite San Diego starting right-hander Griffin Canning. Andrew Vaughn will bat fifth and start at first base today over Bauers.

Christian Yelich - Out of lineup again
Yelich is out of the lineup against San Diego on Thursday for the second consecutive game due to back soreness, Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920 reports.
Impact
Yelich will continue to treat his sore back as he sits out another game against the Padres. The 34-year-old spent a month on the IL for a groin injury, yet now a new injury has presented itself in his recent return to action. If Yelich were to make his return tomorrow, it would be when Milwaukee heads to Minnesota for a three-game set with the Twins.

Abner Uribe - Serves up three-run homer in loss
Uribe (2-2) was charged with the loss and a blown save Wednesday against the Padres, allowing three runs on two hits and one walk in the ninth inning. He struck out one.
Impact
Called upon to protect a 1-0 lead in the ninth inning, Uribe served up a three-run home run to Gavin Sheets for his second blown save of the year. The hard-throwing right-hander has been shaky at times in 2026, posting a 4.96 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB over 16.1 frames while converting four his six save opportunities. That said, the door is open for Trevor Megill to begin cutting into Uribe's share of save chances going forward.

Jacob Misiorowski - Battling quad cramps
Misiorowski left his start Wednesday against the Padres due to quad cramping, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Impact
Misiorowski's quad began to bother him while he was warming up for the eighth inning, and manager Pat Murphy opted not to push things after the 24-year-old had already made it through seven frames for the first time this season. Misiorowski has now thrown 18.1 consecutive scoreless innings to begin the month of May and owns a 29:4 K:BB across his last three starts. Assuming his next start doesn't get pushed back, he's lined up to face the Cubs at Wrigley Field next week.
