Rowdy Tellez - Takes seat Saturday Tellez is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds.
Impact Tellez mashed a homer in the series opener, his 22nd of the season, but he will sit Saturday in favor of Keston Hiura with lefty Nick Lodolo due up for Cincinnati. The 27-year-old Tellez has a .644 OPS against left-handed pitching this season.

Christian Yelich - Registers 16th steal Yelich went 1-for-3 with a pair of walks, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 5-1 win over the Reds.
Impact Yelich has recorded three steals in his last six games, and he's up to 16 thefts without getting caught this year. Across his last 14 contests, he's batting .339 (19-for-56) with six extra-base hits and a 13:18 BB:K. The 30-year-old outfielder remains a fixture atop the Brewers' lineup, and he's up to a .261/.363/.391 slash line with eight home runs, 35 RBI and 69 runs scored through 444 plate appearances.

Tyrone Taylor - Delivers three-run blast Taylor went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Friday's 5-1 win over the Reds.
Impact Taylor padded the Brewers' lead with his second-inning blast, which was his second homer in his last six games. In that span, he's gone a meager 4-for-19 (.211) with three walks. The outfielder has matched his career-high 12 homers from 93 games last season in just 75 contests this year. He's added a stolen base, 39 RBI, 29 runs scored, 13 doubles, two triples and a .228/.280/.437 slash line. Taylor continues to see a majority of the playing time in center field over Jonathan Davis.

Rowdy Tellez - Big performance in win Tellez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 5-1 win over the Reds.
Impact Tellez's first-inning homer was all the Brewers needed in the win. More notably, he added his first stolen base of the year after drawing a leadoff walk in the third. Tellez hadn't attempted a steal since 2020, and he had just one successful theft in three tries in his career prior to Friday. No one will expect the 27-year-old to become a speed threat -- he's a power bat first and foremost. He's up to a career-high 22 homers with 70 RBI, 43 runs scored and a .240/.323/.483 slash line through 399 plate appearances.

Devin Williams - Collects seventh save Williams struck out both batters he faced to earn the save in Friday's 5-1 win over the Reds.
Impact Trevor Gott walked two of the first three batters in the ninth inning, but Williams was able to strike out Matt Reynolds and Jonathan India to end the threat. This was Williams' first save (and opportunity) since the Brewers traded Josh Hader to the Padres on Monday. Williams owns a 1.74 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 68:19 K:BB, seven saves and 25 holds through 41.1 innings this season. He's pitched three days in a row, so any potential save opportunity Saturday is likely to go to Taylor Rogers. The balance between those two high-end relievers has yet to be established, but Williams' elite stuff makes him the more intriguing potential closer.
2 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Eric Lauer - Sharp in eighth win Lauer (8-3) allowed a run on six hits and three walks while striking out four over seven innings, earning the win Friday over the Reds.
Impact Lauer threw 68 of 100 pitches for strikes and limited the damage to a Kyle Farmer RBI single in the fifth inning. Lauer has allowed exactly one run in four of his last six starts, though he has only two wins to go with four no-decisions in that span. The southpaw continues to show improvement after a rough June, and his ERA is down to 3.59 with a 1.22 WHIP and 111:40 K:BB through 112.2 innings across 20 starts this year. He's lined up for an NL Central showdown against the Cardinals in St. Louis next week.

Mike Brosseau - Slugs two-run homer in loss Brosseau went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Thursday's loss against the Pirates.
Impact Brosseau gave the Brewers a 3-1 lead in the top of the fifth with a two-run shot off Pirates starter Zach Thompson. The third baseman has collected a hit in four of his last six appearances and is slashing .364/.462/.727 during that stretch.
3 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Victor Caratini - Slugs eighth homer in loss Caratini went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in Thursday's loss to the Pirates.
Impact Caratini saw himself elevated to the No. 1 catcher recently after Pedro Severino was designated for assignment and Omar Narvaez (quadriceps) was placed on the 10-day IL. The switch hitter wasted no time taking advantage of the increased role by cracking his eighth home run of the season, this one off Pirates starter Zach Thompson.

Matt Bush - Back-to-back poor outings with MIL Bush (0-1) blew the save and took the loss in Thursday's 5-4 loss to Pittsburgh. He allowed two runs on one hit and two walks while striking out zero over one-third of an inning.
Impact Bush came on in the bottom of the 10th with a one-run lead, but he immediately blew the save by serving up an RBI double to Bryan Reynolds on the first pitch of the inning. After two intentional walks and a flyout to right field, Bush threw a wild, 0-2 curveball to Michael Chavis in the dirt, resulting in a walk-off win for the Pirates. In two appearances with Milwaukee, Bush has surrendered four hits, four runs (three earned) and two walks across 1.1 innings.
3 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Jakson Reetz - Added to 40-man roster The Brewers selected Reetz's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Thursday and optioned him to the affiliate.
Impact The transaction makes Reetz the fifth catcher on the Brewers' 40-man roster after Milwaukee lost some organizational depth when Pedro Severino was designated for assignment. Reetz received a promotion from Double-A Biloxi shortly before the All-Star break and has slashed .229/.283/.479 in 13 games since joining Nashville.
3 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Brandon Woodruff - Takes no-decision Woodruff did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing three runs on eight hits and three walks over 6.1 innings in a 5-4 loss to the Pirates. He struck out three.
Impact Woodruff struggled with his command in the second inning, throwing a wild pitch to allow Greg Allen to advance to third before the baserunner ultimately scored on a passed ball by Victor Caratini. The right-hander settled down and recorded four scoreless frames before he allowed three of the first four hitters to reach in the seventh inning, including an RBI single by Tucupita Marcano. Woodruff was tagged with another earned run when Brad Boxberger allowed one of his inherited runners to score on a Ben Gamel single. Since a stint on the IL, Woodruff has posted a 2.18 ERA across seven starts (41.1 innings), but the ace has walked multiple batters in four of his last five outings.
3 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Pedro Severino - Outrighted off roster Severino cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville on Friday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Impact Severino looked set to serve as the Brewers' backup catcher this season but missed the first 80 games of the year due to a PED suspension. He played infrequently upon his return and was designated for assignment Wednesday after going 4-for-18 at the plate.
3 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Jackson Chourio - Unfazed by High-A transition Chourio's first nine games for High-A Wisconsin have seen him hit .351 with a homer, a steal and a 5:6 BB:K.
Impact The most remarkable thing about Chourio's performance so far in High-A -- where he's the youngest player in the circuit -- is that his strikeout rate is less than half what it was in Single-A. All small-sample-size caveats apply, but Chourio was already on the right track in that regard over his final three weeks with Carolina. Needless to say, he's quickly become one of the most exciting players in the minors.
3 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Zavier Warren - Scorching at High-A Warren went 20-for-56 (.357) with six home runs, five doubles, two triples and 19 RBI over his last 15 games with High-A Wisconsin.
Impact Warren hit just .196 over his first 76 games of the season, but he flipped a switch in the middle of July and has not slowed down since. He is not a heralded prospect, but he was a third-round pick in 2020 and hits from both sides of the plate, so his window is not closed yet.
