Christian Yelich - Stays hot in win Yelich went 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Cubs.

Impact Yelich's three-run shot in the bottom of the fifth put the Brewers up 4-1 as the left fielder's electric start to the month continued Thursday. He then drew a walk in the seventh and stole second before coming around to score the team's fifth run. Yelich is now hitting .450 in July with two homers, eight RBI, nine runs scored and three stolen bases. He's also recorded multiple hits in three of his first five games to open the month.

Freddy Peralta - Racks up 10 strikeouts Peralta did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over 5.1 innings in a 6-5 victory over the Cubs. He struck out 10.

Impact Peralta allowed the leadoff man to reach base in three of his 5.1 innings of work and the Cubs made him pay to the tune of three runs, with the latter two coming off a Cody Bellinger home run in the sixth. Still, the right-hander was able to limit the damage on the afternoon thanks to his 10 strikeouts, which matched his season high. Peralta has now allowed at least three runs in three straight starts and in eight of his last 10. He's also walked at least three batters in three of his last four appearances.

Justin Wilson - Rehab moves to Triple-A Wilson (elbow) had his rehab assignment transferred Thursday to Triple-A Nashville, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Impact Wilson is now just one step away from returning to the Brewers' bullpen after a three-appearance stint in the Arizona Complex League, during which he struck out six of the 11 batters he faced. The veteran southpaw is more than 13 months removed from Tommy John surgery and could be deemed ready for major-league action shortly after the All-Star break.

Adrian Houser - Maneuvers through five frames Houser allowed one run on six hits and three walks while striking out four batters over five innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Impact To get through five frames, Houser needed 104 pitches and threw only 60 of them for a strike, but the veteran still allowed just one run to score. The right-hander didn't retire the side in order in any inning, though a key part of his success was preventing the Cubs from notching any extra-base hits. Since his return to the rotation June 29, Houser has allowed just three runs over 11 frames, but he's yielded 13 hits and four walks during that span. He's pitched well enough to justify Milwaukee's decision to include him in a six-man rotation, though that could change when Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) is ready return from the injured list.
