Dodgers and Guardians meet, winner claims 3-game series

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Cleveland Guardians meet on Wednesday with the three-game series tied 1-1

Tanner Bibee - Takes loss against Dodgers Bibee (0-1) allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out four batters over four innings in a loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Impact Bibee had to be pulled from his first start last Thursday against Seattle due to a shoulder issue, but the injury didn't prove to be serious, and the right-hander was able to take his normal turn in the rotation Tuesday. He didn't pitch poorly, but he also wasn't efficient, needing 74 pitches to get through four frames. Bibee kept Los Angeles out of the scoring column until there were two outs in his final frame, but an Andy Pages single produced a run and was ultimately responsible for the hurler ending up with the loss. Bibee said after the game that he didn't have any issues with his shoulder, per Mason Horodyski of News 5 Cleveland, so he should be fine to make his next start, which lines up to come at home against Kansas City.

Impact DeLauter had to leave Tuesday's contest after fouling a ball off his foot in the first inning, but he appears to have escaped the incident with nothing more than a bruise. The Guardians may leave the rookie outfielder out of the starting nine for a day or two as a precaution, but a trip to the injured list likely won't be necessary. Angel Martinez and Daniel Schneemann would be next in line to start in the outfield during any games that DeLauter might miss.

Impact DeLauter fouled a ball off his left foot during the first inning of Tuesday's contest and immediately headed into the Guardians' clubhouse. The team will presumably bring the injury-prone outfielder in for imaging to determine whether he suffered any structural damage. Should he need to miss any additional time, Angel Martinez and Daniel Schneemann would be candidates to pick up extra reps in the outfield.
