Duke Riley - Confined to depth role in 2024 Riley notched 11 tackles (five solo) across 17 regular-season appearances with the Dolphins in 2024.
Impact Riley only missed one regular-season contest across his four years with Miami, but his production declined in 2024, as he was called upon to just 42 total defensive snaps. The 2017 third-round pick's only career year with a lower tackle total came back in 2019 as a member of the Falcons, when he suited up for just four games. Riley is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Cam Smith - Struggles in Year 2 Smith (shoulder) who ended the 2024 campaign on IR, tallied just 16 tackles (13 solo) across six regular-season appearances.
Impact Smith began the year on IR due to a hamstring injury sustained back in July, then had his season come to an early end due to a dislocated left shoulder. The 2023 second-round pick will work to get fully healthy and progress in his development this offseason, but it's difficult to imagine him carving out more than a rotational role at cornerback for the 2025 campaign.

Impact Robinson was Miami's first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and he made an immediate impact for a Dolphins' defense that lost Jaelan Phillips (knee) after Week 4 and didn't have Bradley Chubb (knee) play in a single regular-season game. Robinson finished second on the team in sacks behind Zach Sieler (10.0), and the former finished second among NFL rookies behind Braden Fiske (8.5). Robinson earned a spot on ESPN's Ben Solak's 2024 NFL All-Rookie Team, and the Penn State product will look to carry that momentum into the 2025 campaign.

Bell ended up playing 619 snaps across 17 games in 2024, and while the majority of those came on special teams, he did earn a rotational role at linebacker due to injuries to Jaelan Phillips (knee), Tyus Bowser (knee) and others. Bell is a restricted free agent, which means the Dolphins have the ability to match any offer that another team makes for the linebacker's services.

Hand registered career highs in defensive snaps (532) and total tackles (31) and was able to play in every single regular-season game. The 2018 fourth-round pick will be an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, and he could look to join an organization that can offer him a bigger role with the first-team defense.

With Fuller and Jalen Ramsey projected to be the Dolphins' outside corner for 2025, Duck will likely revert to a special-teams role in 2025, though he could compete with Kader Kohou for the starting slot corner job.

Dodson was claimed off waivers by the Dolphins one day later, and his role with Miami's first-team defense fluctuated, though he did register a career-high 15 tackles against the Browns in Week 17. Dodson will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and he'll look to join a team who can promise him a more consistent role on defense.

Ogbah has logged 5.0 sacks in back-to-back seasons, and his 49 combined tackles were his most since his rookie year in 2016 with the Browns (53). Ogbah enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent and should draw plenty of interest from teams looking for veteran pass rusher.

Impact Fuller signed a two-year, $16.5 million contract with Miami in March after spending the last four seasons with Washington. Four of the six games he missed were due to a concussion, and he was placed on injured reserve in late December due to a knee injury he suffered against the 49ers in Week 16. Assuming he's healthy, Fuller is expected to serve as the Dolphins' starting outside corner for the 2025 campaign opposite All-Pro Jalen Ramsey.

Impact Campbell signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Dolphins in June after playing for the Falcons in 2023, and the veteran defensive lineman finished tied with Emmanuel Ogbah for third-most sacks on Miami behind Zach Sieler (10) and Chop Robinson (six). There were rumors towards the end of the regular season that the Dolphins would waive Campbell in order for him to sign with a playoff contender, but that didn't end up happening as Miami wasn't eliminated from postseason contention until Week 18. It's not known whether Campbell will return for a 16th NFL season or hang up his cleats.
