NAHL team forgets jerseys for away game, wears home team’s sweaters

Thursday night's Killer Bees and IceRays matchup looked more like a inter-squad scrimmage game for Corpus Christi.

Ever wonder what would happen an away team forgot to bring its uniforms, arguably the most important piece of equipment needed for a road game?

The NAHL’s Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees found out that their only alternative was to wear the away jerseys of the home team, the Corpus Christi IceRays, when their equipment staff forgot to bring their own on the trip.

The Killer Bees, perhaps slightly deflated by wearing the colors of their opponent, ended up losing the Thursday’s game 2-1.

The two will play again Friday on the Killer Bees’ home ice, hopefully they will have their own uniforms to wear for that game.
