Five-star dual-threat QB Torrance Gibson (American Heritage Plantation) will be announcing his commitment LIVE with FOX Sports Florida’s Kavita Channe on www.FOXSportsFlorida.com Monday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m.
Gibson, who has received more than 20 offers, lists his top three choices as UCF, LSU and Ohio State, where he made his first and only official visit in September. Gibson did however make several unofficial visits this summer — Florida, Auburn and Oklahoma among them — and posted Instagram pictures at each school offering a unique behind the scenes glance for his fans and followers.
Standing 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, the southpaw QB can throw the ball 75 yards. In 2013, Gibson amassed 1,032 yards rushing, 1,864 yards passing and 29 touchdows (19 passing, 10 rushing) while leading American Heritage to its first-ever state title. This season (through 8 games) he has 563 yards rushing with 7 touchdowns along with 995 yards and 11 touchdowns through the air.
Chris Trulove, former director of pro scouting for the Denver Broncos, told thefootballbrainiacs.com that Gibson has "freakish speed for a quarterback. Excellent scrambler and play-maker outside the pocket."
