No Chargers were named directly to the 2016 Pro Bowl

San Diego Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett will be Pro Bowl-bound if another cornerback bows out.

He'll be the only Charger with a realistic shot at Honolulu though. Verrett is a first alternate for the 2016 Pro Bowl, while quarterback Philip Rivers and special teams ace Darrell Stuckey were both voted as fourth alternates.

That means the no Chargers players were voted immediately into the Pro Bowl for the second time in three seasons. Voting is divided evenly between fans, players and coaches.

All three categories oddly decided to exclude Rivers, who trails only Tom Brady in passing yards this season. Verrett has a team-high three interceptions this year.
