Timeout with Ti episode 82: NBA Finals talk with Al Clarke

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 3:23 p.m. ET

The 2017 NBA Finals are quickly approaching. Ti Windisch and Al Clarke broke down some more fun aspects of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors to prepare.

There are tons of great podcasts and articles breaking down statistics, strategies and matchups for the coming 2017 NBA Finals. So many, in fact, that it's probably impossible to consume them all before the action actually starts.

The only answer, then, is to skip them all (aside from the great stuff here and at other FanSided sites, of course) and instead listen to Timeout with Ti episode 82. Al Clarke, host of The Replay With El and Al, and I talked about some more fun and interesting aspects of the series.

We started off with the oddity of the Golden State Warriors being so heavily favored in the Finals over the Cleveland Cavaliers, especially considering how the last series between these two teams went. After all, we've seen the Warriors blow leads before…

After that, Al and I talked about Kevin Durant. KD is a very controversial player, but isn't he really doing what anybody would do at the end of the day? Al and I disagreed a bit on that one, but the conversation was certainly interesting.

Next up was Klay Thompson and his toaster of blessings. There's a great business opportunity to be had, and we might take advantage of it. Timeout with Ti listeners can invest in this great opportunity, dubbed "Toastception," very soon.

Finally, to wrap up Al and I talked about the Khloe Kardashian curse and if it's real or not. Well, to be precise, Al talked about it and I just sort of nodded.

This episode is a little bit shorter, in part of my ongoing effort to best serve the TWT listenership. Do you like, hate, or not care about the new length? Let us know on Twitter @TimeoutwithTi and @TiWindisch!

Joey Burbs does the intro and outro music for the podcast, and he's spectacular. He'll probably be on the pod soon enough to say that himself, but for now take my word for it and go listen to his music on his website and on Soundcloud.

Finally, thank you to everybody who listens to the show regularly. You are all amazing people, and be sure to join that group if you haven't already by following/subscribing on Soundcloud, iTunes and Stitcher and liking/leaving reviews/rating/telling your friends/getting a TWT tattoo. You know, whatever works.
