Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 13: TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins
Heading into Week 13 Fantasy Football action, make sure to sit tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins and possibly consider removing him altogether.
If you have never heard of tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins this fantasy football season, it’s easy to see why he’s pretty much been a non-factor. Not only is he in an offensive system with the New York Jets that has no idea how to properly use tight ends but he’s been dealing with an ankle injury over the past few weeks.
It’s no secret that the Jets tend to use the tight end position mostly as blockers to protect the quarterback and help on rushing plays. Problem is, it’s an extra layer of production they’re missing out on in the grand scheme of things.
When the Jets acquired Jenkins this season, many had hoped he’d finally break the mold and be a legitimate receiving option at the position. It’s apparent that he simply can’t get the job done as his ankle injury severely regressed him this season.
Considering that last week against the New England Patriots Jenkins only had one reception for just nine yards speaks about how the Jets prioritize the position. Either way, fantasy football owners would be wise to sit Jenkins this week.
More from The Jet Press
As the Jets welcome the Indianapolis Colts to MetLife Stadium for Monday Night Football, fantasy football owners shouldn’t expect much out of Jenkins. Look for the Jets to continue passing the football in hopes of ending their losing streak, it just won’t be to Jenkins.

Overall, don’t expect much of anything out of Jenkins this week. Fantasy football owners are better off finding another tight end option via the waiver wire.
