Brian Quick Gives Los Angeles Rams First Touchdown of Season
After failing to find the end zone over the first two weeks, Brian Quick gave the Los Angeles Rams their first touchdown of the season.
It only took until the third game, but the Los Angeles Rams finally scored their first touchdown of the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday thanks to wide receiver Brian Quick.
On the first drive of the game, Case Keenum found Quick on an impressive 44-yard strike to give the Rams an early 7-0 lead over the Buccaneers. For a player that has faced plenty of criticism for failing to live up to the expectations over the years, Quick has to be feeling good about giving Los Angeles their first touchdown of the 2016 season, and maybe this was the perfect confidence boost to help get the wideout more consistent on offense.
Of course, the Rams still have a long way to go if they’re going to have any chance of winning this game. Despite an impressive win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2, Los Angeles realizes just how dangerous Jameis Winston can be on offense as the quarterback looks to bounce back from a disappointing outing last weekend in which he recorded five turnovers.
Now that Quick found the end zone to get the touchdown monkey off their backs, let’s hope the Rams can find a way to score a few more before the game comes to an end. For a team looking to avoid ranking near the bottom of the league in offense for the second-straight season, it will be interesting to see if the Rams can find a way to keep things rolling on offense.
