Sobbing J.R. Smith could barely speak in his NBA Finals postgame interview

The first title in over 50 years is going to mean a lot to a lot of people in Cleveland. You can include J.R. Smith among that group after the Cavaliers guard gave a press conference for the ages following Sunday's Game 7 win.

Smith absolutely broke down at the postgame podium, thanking his family for helping him through "dark" times, crediting his parents for helping him reach this level, and just generally putting a lump in our throats with an emotional two minutes -- followed by a big hug for his dad:

Sorry, it's getting a little dusty in here. Don't mind us. We just need a second.

After Smith was done at the podium, the assembled media gave the newly crowned champion a standing ovation. Generally, there's no cheering allowed by the press, but this is one time we'll gladly make an exception.

Smith's daughter must be awfully proud of her dad, you guys. Not only did he not get kicked off the team, but he's a champion -- and one who showed the world just how important family is on Father's Day.
