Playing time hard to come by for Titans RB Bishop Sankey

For the second straight week, Tennessee Titans running back Bishop Sankey failed to carry the ball in the team's 20-6 loss to the Houston Texans.

Antonio Andrews received the bulk of the work on Sunday, rushing 16 times for a season-high 64 yards. Veteran Dexter McCluster also had three carries for 15 yards.

After the game, Tennessee head coach Ken Whisenhunt indicated the decision not to use Sankey was based on how well Andrews and McCluster have performed in recent weeks. A 2014 second-round pick, Sankey also wasn't used in the Titans' Oct. 25 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

“I don’t know that he’s necessarily benched,” Whisenhunt said, per the Tennessean, “but Antonio and Dexter are both playing well. You’ve certainly got to continue with those guys.”

The news wasn't much better for Sankey on special teams, where he fumbled two kickoffs, including one the Texans recovered at the Titans' 24-yard line. Sankey also dropped his next attempt as well, before recovering the ball and taking it out to the 9 yard-line.

After the pair of miscues, the Titans replaced Sankey with McCluster on kickoff returns.
