New Orleans Saints cornerback Brian Dixon was arrested early Sunday morning in Miami for resisting arrest.

Dixon, an undrafted free agent out of Northwest Missouri State, was pulled over while driving a moped, at which point he apparently resisted arrest. He was booked into custody at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 5:50 a.m. and had bond set at $1,000.

Presumably already out on bond, Dixon took to social media to comment on the incident.

"It hurts to know that I wasn't causing no trouble and was fully cooperating," he wrote on Twitter.

The real question here is why Dixon was arrested in the first place. You can’t be arrested for resisting arrest without allegedly doing something to be placed under arrest in the first place.

Dixon, 24, beat out veteran Champ Bailey for one of the Saints final roster spots last summer. He appeared in 16 games as a rookie, recording 18 tackles and a forced fumble in the process.
