Report: Ex-Bears college scouting director hired by Philadelphia Eagles

Published May. 25, 2015 11:13 a.m. ET

The Philadelphia Eagles have hired another member of the previous Chicago Bears regime, as Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that former Bears college scouting director Marty Barrett has been hired by the Eagles as their West Coast scout.

Barrett, who was Chicago's West Coast scout before ex-General Manager Phil Emery promoted him to college scouting director, joins former Bears associate director of pro personnel Dwayne Joseph, who was hired to be Phiadelphia's director of pro personnel earlier this month.

Barrett spent the last 18 seasons in Chicago and was credited with helping the team land Pro Bowl-caliber players in center Olin Kreutz and linebacker Lance Briggs, the Chicago Tribune notes.
