Rackley expected to return for Jags opener

The Jacksonville Jaguars received good news Monday when they learned that starting guard Will Rackley's injury in Saturday's preseason game against Philadelphia was nothing more than an ankle sprain.

Rackley was hurt in the Jaguars opening series and had to be assisted to the sidelines. An MRI over the weekend revealed that it was only a sprain to the ankle.

Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said Rackley would be sidelined this week but that the team hoped to have him back for the Sept. 8 regular season opener against Kansas City.

Starting tight end Marcedes Lewis, who has missed the last two preseason games, and linebacker Russell Allen, who played against Philadelphia after missing the previous week, will likely both be held out of the Atlanta game, Bradley said.
