Philadelphia Sportsradio 94.1 WIP released the following statement Wednesday after announcing that radio host Josh Innes had been suspended for three days for his comments about Eagles center Jason Kelce.

Per Rob Tornoe of philly.com:

“Comments made by Josh Innes during his WIP-FM program yesterday in regards to Eagles center Jason Kelce were inappropriate and unacceptable,” WIP said in a statement. “We do not condone or approve of those comments.”

Innes used a racial epithet Tuesday to describe Kelce in a radio broadcast shortly before Eagles head coach Doug Pederson's introductory press conference. Innes was criticizing Kelce for showing up early to the press conference and being overly loyal when he he used a term that compared Kelce, who is white, to an African-American house slave.

Later in the broadcast, Innes offered the following apology, according to philly.com.

“I’m the dumbest human being on the planet,” Innes said, noting his intention was not to offend anybody. “I apologize for that, I truly do. I’m an idiot.”

The self-proclaimed idiot's comments warranted a response from Kelce.
