Lions DT Fairley, TE Pettigrew among inactives

Published Dec. 16, 2012 3:49 p.m. ET

Defensive tackle Nick Fairley and tight end Brandon Pettigrew were among the inactives for the Detroit Lions against Arizona on Sunday.

Nose tackle Dan Williams was among the Cardinals' players sitting out the game.

Neither Fairley (shoulder) nor Pettigrew (ankle) practiced last week and both had been listed as doubtful. Sammie Hill started in place of Fairley and Will Heller was the starting tight end instead of Pettigrew.

David Carter took over at nose tackle for Williams, who was limited in practice on Friday with a groin injury and had been listed as questionable.
