The Chiefs are still somehow alive in the AFC playoff hunt

Published Oct. 27, 2015 6:58 p.m. ET

The Chiefs' playoff chances are still very much in play, even after a five-game losing streak.

Factor out the AFC's three undefeated teams (Patriots, Bengals, Broncos) and there's a mess left. Only two teams have an above-.500 record.

The Chiefs aren't one of them. But they do now hold an all-important tiebreaker over the 4-3 Pittsburgh Steelers if they can mount a winning streak.

Their remaining schedule could push things in that direction. They have games against the Lions, Bills, Ravens, and Browns left. And they'll face the Raiders and Chargers twice.
