Giants left guard Justin Pugh will miss time with knee

Published Nov. 7, 2016 4:24 p.m. ET

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) New York Giants left guard Justin Pugh will be sidelined indefinitely with a sprained right knee.

Giants coach Ben McAdoo would not say Monday how long Pugh will be out, other than to say he will miss ''some time.''

Arguably their best lineman, Pugh was hurt early in the second quarter of Sunday's 28-23 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He immediately went to the locker room and did not return.

Brett Jones, the former CFL player signed in 2015, replaced Pugh.

McAdoo had no information on the severity of an ankle injury to wide receiver Victor Cruz, who was also injured in the game. An MRI was planned.
