Buffalo Bills: LeSean McCoy Call Writers 'Nerds' Over Rankings Snub
It appears Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is unhappy for not making the list of Top 101 Players during the 2016 season from Pro Football Focus.
When it comes to the top running backs in the NFL, LeSean McCoy of the Buffalo Bills has built a strong case for ranking near the top of the list throughout his career, even if he didn’t receive as much support from the rest of his teammates on offense this past season. In 2016, McCoy appeared in 15 games for the Bills and managed to rush for 1,267 yards to go along with 13 touchdowns on the ground.
Last week, the folks over at Pro Football Focus released their list of the Top 101 Players from the 2016 season. Despite these impressive numbers on McCoy’s end, it apparently wasn’t good enough for the running back to earn a spot on the list. Most players tend to let these kind of lists go, but for those that have followed McCoy throughout his career, it shouldn’t be a surprise to see him chime in on the snub through social media.
McCoy has never been shy when it comes to speaking his mind, and on Monday, he didn’t hold back on Twitter by calling out the writers from PFF. Take a look below and see the harsh words McCoy had to say, including an unnecessary “nerds” reference.
@PFF u guys suck … a bunch of nerds who never played a lick of football in your whole life.

From a professional standpoint, this doesn’t look good on McCoy’s end since every writer or site is entitled to their own opinion. Not to mention, the NFL is filled with a ton of talent at multiple positions. So McCoy wasn’t the only player snubbed from this list.
Then again, when taking a closer look at some of the players on this list, the argument can be made that McCoy deserved to make it over plenty of them. But that’s what makes these types of lists so interesting, since the McCoy debate can be made for both sides. What can’t be debated is that the Bills running back was probably out of line in addressing this in the manner he chose to.
