Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has quadriceps injury

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 8:59 p.m. ET

CLEVELAND (AP) Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is expected to miss at least two weeks of training camp with a quadriceps injury, the latest setback for the troubled player.

Gordon, who was reinstated on Monday by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell following a lengthy suspension for drug violations, took a physical on Tuesday and it was determined he needs time to recover from an injury sustained while working out on his own.

The team placed him on the active/non-football injury list. He also met with head of football operations Sashi Brown, coach Hue Jackson and others within the organization who laid out their expectations for the 25-year-old.

Gordon hasn't played since 2014. He was suspended all of last season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

Also, cornerback Joe Haden (left ankle) was placed on the active/physically unable to perform list. Haden continues to rehab from surgery in March.
