After acquiring Serge Ibaka this past offseason in a trade involving Victor Oladipo, the Orlando Magic are shipping him north. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Magic are trading Ibaka to the Toronto Raptors for Terrence Ross and a first-round pick.

This is a strong move for the Raptors, who acquire a big rim protector. Ibaka was averaging 15.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for the Magic this season, the former of which is tied for a career high.

Ross, on the other hand, is also having one of the better seasons of his career. He’s averaging 10.4 points and 2.6 rebounds in 22.4 minutes played per game.

With news of Kevin Love’s injury, the Raptors are now in position to make a run in the East.
