Heat give their side of messy divorce with Chris Bosh

Chris Bosh unloaded on the Miami Heat on Friday for the way things ended with the franchise, and once his tirade made the rounds, the organization felt the need to respond.

Bosh has been dealing with blood clots on his lungs off and on for the past two seasons, and the team has refused to clear him to play while he needs blood thinners to treat them. Bosh had been putting out statements of optimism in recent weeks, only to then fail a team physical just before training camp began. And after Heat president Pat Riley declared publicly that Bosh was done in Miami, the player used his video series to verbally strike back.

"I didn't see my career in Miami ending like this," Bosh said. "I didn't get a call or a text or anything like that. I mean, it's a business. We understand that. We always say those things. But if you say certain things to the person and you win championships and you have these moments, you don't want to find things out through the media."

If you believe the Heat reached out to Bosh before Riley went public on his own, then it's reasonable to believe that Bosh may not have been ready to hear what almost certainly would be bad news.

The situation has been the same from Day One: No matter how healthy Bosh feels, as long as he's on blood thinners, it's extremely unlikely that any team will clear him for a return to the NBA.
