FOX Sports Florida celebrates 30 years of play-by-play with ‘Inside the Magic: David Steele’

ORLANDO, Fla. (March 21, 2019) – FOX Sports Florida, the exclusive television home of the Orlando Magic, will premiere an all-new episode of “Inside the Magic” tomorrow night upon conclusion of Orlando’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies. “Inside the Magic: David Steele” celebrates the career of Orlando’s play-by-play announcer following his induction into the Magic Hall of Fame. For 30 years, Steele has been the voice of the Magic, first on radio and now on television. Steele’s called over 2,400 Magic games, thus making him an integral part of so many magical moments throughout the history of the franchise. In this edition of “Inside the Magic,” find out about the renown broadcaster’s roots, including how he got his first start in play-by-play and how he talked the University of Florida into hiring a Georgia grad as the voice of the Gators.
