Jets WR Eric Decker buys dinner for homeless veteran
It’s been a rough couple of months for Jets receiver Eric Decker, but he’s doing his part to make the world a better place.
On Wednesday, one day after his second surgery in a month, Decker and his wife were walking in New York when a man approached them and said he was hungry. Decker decided to take the man to a halal cart and get him a hot meal. His wife, Jessie, posted the whole story on Instagram.
Watching my man buy a sweet homeless man some dinner earlier. He approached us saying how hungry he was and how he was a veteran from New York. Eric then told him let's walk over and get you some food and the man kept saying over and over again "I can't believe it, I just can't believe it. He Was so surprised by the kindness. I admire Eric so much and am so proud to be his wife. #actsofkindness

Decker had surgery on his hip on Oct. 18 and underwent another surgery on his shoulder on Tuesday. It’s good to see he’s making the most of his rehab time.
