Report: Chargers about to enter Ndamukong Suh sweepstakes
Is there a new player in the Ndamukong Suh sweepstakes?
The San Diego Chargers are getting ready to pursue the Detroit Lions star, says Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. The Chargers -- who have around $26 million in salary cap space for 2015 -- will join teams including the Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions who have expressed a desire to land the defensive tackle.
The Chargers can take advantage of the three-day negotiating window to judge Suh's interest before NFL free agency begins at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
Suh is a five-year veteran who has four first-team All-Pro selections and four Pro Bowls under his belt. He is expected to draw the largest non-quarterback salary in NFL history this offseason.
