Michael Vick is No. 1 in your program
Michael Vick is set for a fresh start in a new city as a member of the New York Jets, and sometimes with a new team comes a new number.
Vick, whose traditional No. 7 jersey is currently worn by teammate and fellow quarterback Geno Smith, originally opted to wear No. 8 instead, but apparently, the change didn't suit him.
After trying on the #8 I decided that it's not the right fit for me. I'll be going with the #1 officially. Thank You #JetsNation

Perhaps the change to wearing No. 1 is indicative of Vick's aspirations to take the starting quarterback position from Smith.
Whatever his intentions, Vick has already created a tough decision for coach Rex Ryan, who has said that he won't commit to Smith as the Jets' starting quarterback for the upcoming season.
