Jerry Jones calls Browns QB Johnny Manziel a 'great one'

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has not wavered in his opinion of Cleveland Browns backup quarterback Johnny Manziel.

According to Steve Doerschuk of the Canton Repository, Jones acknowledged on his radio show that the Cowboys would not select their future franchise quarterback in the 2016 NFL Draft unless "a great one" like Ben Roethlisberger or Johnny Manziel falls to the team.

Calling Manziel one of the great ones is one thing, but comparing him to Roethlisberger is another. Aside from the physical attributes that Roethlisberger holds over Manziel -- arm strength, size, accuracy, to name a few -- Roethlisberger has consistently won games and a Super Bowl at the NFL level.

Jones also revealed that the Cowboys had a very high draft grade on Manziel -- No. 16 overall on their big board. They ended up drafting offensive guard Zack Martin instead, a player they had even higher on their draft board, and he has developed into one of the NFL's elite offensive guards.
