'I want to make a difference': Jim Kelly participates in his football camp
Buffalo Bills legend and Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly is recuperating after finishing radiation and chemotherapy for sinus cancer, but he still didn't want to let the children participating in his football camp down.
Kelly, who has lost 51 pounds since his diagnosis, admitted he was fatigued, but he felt he had an obligation to the kids at the one-day camp at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y.
"I was a kid once, and I know what it's like to look forward to doing something and look forward to meeting somebody," Kelly said via the Democrat and Chronicle. "I want to make a difference in these kids' lives, not only on the field but from what I'm going to tell them later on about the choices they make as young adults that can impact what they become."
