Vikings’ Cousins named NFC Offensive Player of the Week
Kirk Cousins was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Minnesota’s 28-27 come-from-behind win over Carolina on Sunday.
With the Vikings trailing 27-21 late in the fourth quarter, Cousins led his offense down the field on a seven-play, 75-yard drive in under two minutes to take the lead.
He finished the game with 307 yards and three touchdowns on 24-of-45 passing, adding up to a passer rating of 115.7.
In the month of November, Cousins led the NFL with a passer rating of 124.3. He threw for 1,293 yards, 12 touchdowns and one interception while completing 72.4% of his passing attempts.
It’s the fifth weekly honor for Cousins, and his first since signing with the Vikings in 2018. He joins Dalvin Cook as the two Minnesota offensive players to earn the weekly nod this season.
