Jets S Calvin Pryor expects to return this week vs. Texans

No position has dealt with more injuries of late than safety for the New York Jets. Calvin Pryor has missed the past three weeks due to a high ankle sprain, leading Dion Bailey to start in his place. Unfortunately, Bailey also suffered an ankle injury and missed Thursday's game against the Bills.

However on Monday, Pryor said that he expects to return this week against the Houston Texans, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.

Pryor's return should give the struggling Jets defense a huge lift, especially in the passing game. Prior to their game against the Bills, the Jets had allowed three consecutive 300-yard passers, dropping them from the top spot in total defense.

Pryor has recorded 36 tackles, one interception and one pass defensed in six games this season and has improved greatly from his disappointing rookie year last season.
