NFL to re-open Giants K Josh Brown domestic violence investigation
The NFL is re-opening its investigation into the domestic violence allegations against New York Giants kicker Josh Brown after obtaining new documents released on Wednesday, the league announced.
In journal entries, emails and letters obtained by the media on Wednesday, Brown admitted to abusing his wife. Brown was charged with fourth-degree domestic violence in May 2015 after his wife turned these documents over to police, but the charge was dropped five days later.
"I have physically, mentally, emotionally and verbally been a repulsive man," Brown wrote in one of his journal entries. "I have abused my wife."
The NFL said it did not have access to the documents in question when it conducted its original investigation into the situation, which resulted in Brown being suspended for one game at the beginning of this season for a violation of the personal conduct policy.
Documents with admissions are new. But remember: There were already many detailed accusations, pages of interviews and police reports. https://t.co/frocokjiap

The Giants said on Thursday that they were also not aware of the documents until their release on Wednesday, according to the New York Daily News.
Brown practiced with the team as usual on Thursday.
