What could have been a crucial win for the Houston Texans turned into a brutal loss just last week. Now, their AFC South lead remains unsafe and they need to start reeling off wins to maintain. Unfortunately for Houston, that’s not going to be an easy task at all in NFL Week 12. They’ll be taking on the San Diego Chargers, another desperate team, at Reliant Stadium on Sunday.
Philip Rivers and the Chargers have been over-performing it feels for much of the year. However, even that hasn’t translated to wins. That’s largely been due to the performances of Rivers and second-year running back Melvin Gordon. However, San Diego’s defense has also emerged this season. Joey Bosa is a monster and this unit, when healthy, is fearsome.

On the other hand, the Texans offense has been a blemish on 2016 for their team. The signing of Brock Osweiler looks worse each week and offensive line injuries only worsen that. Now, Osweiler has had less time to throw and Lamar Miller has also been neutralized a bit. That said, Whitney Mercilus and the defense are still big-time and should keep them in most games.
