SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Cleveland cornerbacks Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams are inactive for Monday's game in San Francisco, leaving the Browns' secondary without two key starters for a third consecutive week.

Both Ward and Williams are nursing lingering hamstring injuries that have prevented them from practicing.

The Browns are also without safety Sheldrick Redwine (hamstring), wide receiver Rashard Higgins (knee) and tackle Kendall Lamm (knee). Other inactives for Cleveland are wide receiver Taywan Taylor and defensive end Genard Avery

San Francisco running back Jeff Wilson Jr., who had four rushing touchdowns in the team's first four games, is a healthy inactive for the 49ers. Wilson is out to make room for Tevin Coleman.

Tackle Joe Staley (broken fibula) and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon (foot) are also out for coach Kyle Shanahan's team. Other San Francisco inactives are quarterback C.J. Beathard, defensive lineman Julian Taylor, tackle Sam Young and wide receiver Jordan Mathews. Mathews was signed earlier this week to replace Jaylen Hurd after Hurd was placed on injured reserve.
