Cardinals send Okafor, two others back to Arizona for MRI exams

Starting outside linebacker Alex Okafor was among three players injury in the Arizona Cardinals' 42-17 rout of the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Okafor suffered a calf injury and was joined on the sidelines by backup linebacker Kenny Demens (knee) and safety Chris Clemons, who all flew back to Arizona to undergo MRI exams.

Demens, a special teams standout, appeared to have suffered the most serious injury, telling reporters after that game that he thinks he suffered a torn ACL in his left knee when his cleat got caught in the turf.

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians told reporters that he did "not feel good" about the injuries for either of the three players. Arizona traveled to West Virginia from Detroit and will stay on the East Coast in advance of next weekend's game at the Pittsburgh Steelers.
