Stiemke, Dike lead Loyola (MD) over Army, 69-68
BALTIMORE (AP) — Jordan Stiemke led Loyola (MD) with 17 points and Golden Dike scored the game-winning layup with two seconds remaining as the Greyhounds defeated Army 69-68 on Saturday night.
Stiemke shot 6 for 9, including 5 for 6 from beyond the arc for the Greyhounds (7-24, 5-13 Patriot League). Tyson Commander scored 14 points, going 4 of 10 from the floor, including 1 for 4 from 3-point range, and 5 for 5 from the foul line. Alonso Faure had 12 points and went 5 of 11 from the field.
Ryan Curry led the Black Knights (10-21, 6-12) in scoring, finishing with 20 points and four assists. Jaden Ellis added 12 points and four assists for Army. TJ Small also had nine points.
Loyola went into halftime ahead of Army 31-29. Stiemke scored nine points in the half. Faure led Loyola with nine points in the second half.
