Stallworth says he'll sign with 'Skins

Donte' Stallworth says he'll be joining the Washington Redskins.

The veteran receiver told 106.7 The Fan on Wednesday that he's ''excited to be a Redskin now.''

Stallworth is expected to sign his deal Friday, the first day teams are allowed to finalize free agent contracts under the labor rules implemented at the end of the NFL lockout.

The 30-year-old Stallworth caught only two passes with the Baltimore Ravens last season after sitting out much of the year with a broken foot. He was suspended for the previous season after pleading guilty to DUI manslaughter.

His best season came in 2005, when he caught 70 passes for 945 for New Orleans.

Santana Moss and Anthony Armstrong are the projected Redskins starting receivers headed into training camp.
