Panthers kicker trolls Cam Newton ahead of BCS title game
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton will clearly be rooting for Auburn when his alma mater squares off against Florida State in the BCS National Championship Game on Monday night. You wouldn't know it by looking at his locker, though.
In a nice bit of pregame trash talk, Panthers kicker -- and FSU alum -- Graham Gano tweeted a photo Monday morning of a Seminoles sweatshirt proudly hanging in Newtonâs stall.
There's no word on whether the Carolina teammates have a wager going on the title game -- like the one that forced New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram to wear Auburn gear after the Tigers' Iron Bowl upset of Alabama -- but Newton had better step up his game. Getting trolled by the kicker is never a good look.
Check out the new addition to the quarterback's locker in the photo below:
Wow this is crazy! I didn't know Cam was pulling for FLORIDA STATE today! pic.twitter.com/JWAppslhqd
